CLASS, WORKSHOP & SEMINAR FACILITATORS TERMS & CONDITIONS


The workshop or seminar facilitator/facilitators agree to abide by the following conditions while conducting workshops or seminars within the premises of Astarte Mind & Body Studio.


  1. Hire of Studio 1 (Mezzanine Level) includes use of the mezzanine lounge and kitchen and bathroom facilities for the duration of the hired period. Studio 1 Cost is $35 per hour (inc GST), capped at $200 for a full day (6-8 hours). 
  2. Hire of Studio 2 (Ground Level) includes use of cafe seating area, kitchen and bathroom facilities for the duration of the hired period. Studio 2 cost is $25 per hour (inc GST), capped at $150 for a full day (6-8 hours).
  3. ​Hire of the Ground Floor for Personal Training or small group sessions includes the use of the space and all fitness based equipment; both machines and apparatus.
  4. Studio hire must be paid in full a minimum of two weeks prior to the workshop or seminar date where possible. Weekly and term based classes must be paid up front for each time period or block of classes.
  5. Hire of the studio for classes and workshops is at the discretion of the director of Astarte Mind & Body Studio. All class/workshop/seminar proposals must be in alignment with the core values and ethics of the studio and have a mind body, personal development, health, cultural or arts based focus. 
  6. All classes, workshops or seminars must fall within the approved opening hours of Astarte Mind & Body Studio, being between 6.00am-9.00pm weekdays and 8.00am-5.00pm Saturday and Sunday
  7. Classes or Workshops that clash with our current class and workshop schedule or services already provided within Astarte Mind & Body Studio may not be approved. 
  8. Classes, Workshops and Seminars must be capped at 20 participants and two instructors on site at any one time, in accordance with Shellharbour City Council conditions. 
  9. Class/Workshop/Seminar facilitators take full responsibility for the security of the premises including equipment and goods during the duration of the class, workshop or seminar.
  10. Class/Workshop/Seminar facilitators take full responsibility for the safety of participants during the workshop or seminar. It is recommended that facilitators hold their own public liability insurance of no less than $20 million dollars. A copy of hirers Certificate of Currency for Public Liability is to be provided prior to the hiring date. 
  11. Where the owner or another sub leaser is unavailable for opening or lock up, facilitators will be given a key for access. This key remains the property of Astarte Mind & Body Studio and shall not be duplicated or shared with any other party. The key is to be left on the office counter upon lock up. Exit through the fire exit.
  12. Facilitators will ensure that all electrical equipment (with the exception of the refrigerators) is turned off following the workshop, and that all doors and windows are secured.
  13. No alcohol is to be served on the premises as this breaches alcohol licensing laws.
  14. Any rubbish generated by food scraps must be removed from the premises immediately following the workshop to avoid odour and vermin. Rubbish and recycling bins are located outside the studio.
  15. Studio’s, bathroom, kitchen and common areas must be left clean and tidy, with all equipment placed back in its original positions at the conclusion of the hiring period.​
  16. COVID-19 Practices require that all clientele adhere to stated sanitisation and distancing protocols at all times while within the studio. All shared equipment must be sanitised at the conclusion of use.
